How do I register for computer and paper based GRE?
You can register for computer based test online, through telephone, email or fax. Only in those areas where computer based test is not available can students take paper based GRE. Students can register for it online or through mail.
How often can I retake GRE?
You can take computer delivered test once every 21 days upto 5 times in a continuous rolling period of 365 days. Paper delivered test can be taken as many times as you want.
How long is the test?
Total time for a computer delivered test is three hours and forty five minutes, plus short breaks.
Can I use calculator during the test?
In computer delivered test, onscreen calculators are provided for Quantitative reasoning section.
When will my official results be reported after the test?
In case of computer delivered test, the scores will be made available in your account approximately 10-15 days after the test.
How long are GRE scores valid?
GRE scores are valid for five years after the testing year.
How do I send my scores to institutions?
Your GRE test fee entitles you to send your scores to as many as four graduate and business schools or fellowship sponsors. With score select option, you can choose to send the scores which you feel reflect your personal best.
